So over the last year my grey hair has increased exponentially. I know I promised that I would be calm about the whole 2nd adoption thing but I have had deja vu as I stalked the mailman this morning and felt so bummed when all I had was an Oriental Trading catalogue:( Our dossier is completely ready except the paper copy of our homestudy. CHS approved it last Wednesday and our SW here has been out caring for her granddaughter. I finally made contact yesterday and hoped that our homestudy would be in transit yesterday and in my hands today (so I can send it off for state Certification...takes about 3 days for turnaround) and waiting for referral by Monday or Tuesday of next week. I know one day doesn't affect anything in the grand scheme of things but I am so impatient...even when I promise that I won't be. Remind me God has chosen a specific little girl for us and HIS timing is perfect. It is probably a bad sign of my impending impatients also when I have already asked CHS how long the wait would be and recieved the ever vague answer of "it depends". As it stands on the unofficial list there isn't anyone waiting for a girl age over 18 months but on our agency's list there are several waiting for up to 24 months a few with age range over 24 months. So with this info we are likely to recieve a referral for a girl over 24 months sometime in the next 6 months. My guess is maybe a November/December referral and travel March or April.
But this could happen as early as a September referral, late December- January travel date or as late as a February referral and June travel date. Okay...can you see that I never get over the crazy.....Can anyone recommend a good (cheap) colorist to help rid me of my "silver" highlights!
