So at my physical appointment for our homestudy I told the doctor about my 6 months worth of non-stop headaches so she prescribed amitriptyline for the migraines. Apparently it is supposed to prevent the migraines after about 2 weeks! Sounded like a wonder drug until I got the prescription and read the side effects: dry mouth, weight gain, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, weakness, diarrhea, excess sweating, heart burn, oh yeah and HEADACHE....and possibly DEPRESSION and SUICIDAL THOUGHTS!!!! Well I thought maybe, that was all for OTHER people...not me...I would just work well, wonder drug...right. Um no.....glad I made sure Torrey was there... I slept horribly, had to drink water like a camel, inhaled a HUGE bag of M & M's, cried ALL day...no exaggeration, and thought about doing a lobotomy on myself!!! So we are back to square one...I would MUCH rather have headaches (which have been lessening lately on their own) than gain more weight, cry all day, and have to lock up my sharp kitchen utensils!!!!
