So this is my 100th post and in blogging tradition I will list 100 things about me that you may or may not know (or may not care to know) .
1) My middle name is Virginia
2) Torrey and I saved all of our Tickets from Tokens and Tickets for a year to "win" a VCR
3) the VCR was broken so we let it lay around the house and let Noah (1 at the time) beat on it with is baby toys and jump on it like a trampoline. I started to work again after that.
4)I was a French major in college until I hit a French lit class I didn't like and switched to Psychology
5) I have an office supply addiction-- A hole puncher and stapler get me excited
6) The smell of scotch tape and new books get me equally excited.
7) I wrecked my 1st car a Plymouth Caravelle at least 7 times and it still ran for at least 8 years.
8) I bite my tongue when I am determined and concentrating.
9) My tongue to too fat for my mouth so I have permanent bite marks on the sides of my tongue
10) I pierced my tongue my freshman year of college between classes but since I have a fat tongue already the swelling made it impossible to eat anything for 4 straight days so I forced some chicken noodle soup down one day and tore the piercing.
11) I lost 65 pounds after my 2nd son was born. I am thinner now than in high school or when I got married.
12) My left pinky toe is paralyzed (that is how I know left from right.)
13) I lettered in Soccer in High School
14) Country music makes me feel nostalgic about my childhood but when I listen to some of the lyrics of the songs I "remember" they are completely different than the words I used to sing to them.
15) I could never be on "Don't forget the Lyrics"- sometimes I am surprised at church when they put the words on the screen and I finally know what the words to that song from the radio is saying.
16) I got married at 18 (crazy I know! You think you know everything at 18)
17) The doctor told us Noah was a girl and we didn't find out he was a boy until after he was born. I was so out of it from going through labor and then a C-section that I didn't know it until I woke up the next day.
18) My grandma kept a little pony for my sister Amber and me but I was afraid of it. (My grandma told me to get over it....I was such a scaredy cat back then....kind of like Noah is now)
19) I used to want to be Amish (okay I still do sometimes)
20) I was a very shy child (I know you wouldn't guess it since you can't keep my quiet now)
21) I wore huge coke bottle glasses from Kindergarten until 6th grade when I broke them on purpose because I knew my parents couldn't afford to buy me new ones.
22) I still need glasses but my left eye is just strong enough for me to pass the driver's test with only a side view mirror restriction....vanity, I know
23) Torrey didn't propose to me until we had been married 1 1/2 years. We were looking at rings at the mall to show him what I like and he bought one (silly I know) I the very patient (ha,ha) I asked him to let me try it on and of course he never got it back.
24) I lost my "engagement" ring, so Torrey bought me a ring for Valentines day (our 1/2 anniversary) and asked me to marry him then.....2 weeks later I found my engagement ring when we were moving out of our trailer into our house.
25) I lost my "Valentine's" ring last year in our desperate search for Carter when our canoe tipped at Turkey Run and we couldn't find him.
26) I lost my "Engagement" ring in a desperate attempt to get the leaves raked before we left for Ethiopia.
27) The neighbor across the street beat his wife to death with a blender...for real!!!
28) When my husband dies I am going to become the crazy cat lady in your neighborhood (Torrey's allergic to cats)
29) I like to eat the unpopped kernels of the popcorn
30) Coupons get me excited...especially when you have a sale and coupon making your shampoo free!!
31) I like to play Webkinz after my kids go to bed.
32) In college I watched Ever After with Drew Barrymore everyday.
33) I secretly want to be a cage fighter or roller derby girl
34) I learned to skate at 2 and it is still my favorite exercise (mama's don't let your babies hang out at skating rinks...even if they say everything is on the up and up...they are very shady places)
35) I am a bookworm and always have been. I remember spending a whole summer reading R.L. Stine books (though I don't think I will let my kids read them)
36) I don't like Junie B. books but I can't get Noah to stop reading them
37) Romance novels make me sick
38) My stomach hurts when people lie on TV
39) I am the oldest of 3 girls
40) I really abused my middle sister Amber as a kid by making her mad so she would run at me, then I would move out of the way quickly so she would run right into the wall....cruel I know
41) My baby sister is 10 years younger than me.
42) I started Kindergarten when I was 4 and graduated from High school at 17
43) In high school I learned to be OCD about grades and was determined to get over 100% in every class after my freshman year (lots of extra credit).
44) I had a 3.985 GPA in College (1 B in Greek Lit because I stopped reading the book after the 3rd week)
45) I like to squirt "spray butter" on my tongue while I type on the computer
46) I taught Junior Bible Quiz for 8 years and learned everything I know about the Bible from teaching the children the Bible stories.
47) After college I made everyone call me Kimberley instead of Kim because of the way people used to say "Kim Abbott" kind of nastily. I am not a stickler about it anymore but I still prefer Kimberley
48) I played the trumpet in middle school and high school but never practiced.
49) I don't function well on less than 9 hours of sleep a night
50) I had Carter 2 weeks before graduating for college
51) I don't like mayonnaise or anything made with mayonnaise
52) I like to make birthday mush by mixing my cake and ice cream together into a paste
53) I didn't use my oven for the first 5 years we were married.
54) I can't back down from a challenge (Torrey bet I wouldn't pee my pants on purpose a few months ago...don't ask...and of course I did it)
55) I don't usually talk to people that I went to high school with when I see them....I usually hide
56) I love geeks! I always tell Torrey if I didn't marry him it would have been another geek.
57) I dated a guy who was way into Marlyn Manson in high school
58) Every guy before him was either younger or shorter than me...all of them kind of geeky
59) I wore spandex pants and an oversized t-shirt for my entire 5th grade year.
60) I can't stand the sound of people eating crunchy food.
61) In high school I was bit by a dog delivering newspapers
62) In elementary school I got my tongue stuck to my metal sled while going down the hill and had to rip it off. There is still a little piece of my tongue stuck to that sled.
63) I still do handstands against the wall in my house
64) Last summer it was my goal to hang upside down from the monkey bars at the park and flip off of them without using my hands. I never got the nerve to try it but I did log at least 10 hours of upside down time by the end of the summer
65) This year my New Years Resolution is to wear a pair of shorts this summer (I haven't wore a pair for at least 7 years.)
66) Once I made my mom so mad that she tore the bedroom door off the hinges and threw it at me (cheap door)
67) About 5 years ago when Torrey made me angry during a phone conversation I picked up a kitchen chair over my head and broke the chandelier (low ceiling).
68) I have library fines built into my monthly budget
69) I have an addiction to peanut butter which hinders my shorts goal
70) I have a horrible memory
71) I try to pull all of my children's teeth because I can still visualize my father's huge fingers in my mouth trying to yank my pearly whites.
72) I sleep with a pillow & blankets pulled over my head
73) I peed my pants in middle school because the keyboarding teacher didn't believe me that I had to go to the bathroom...I didn't tell anyone and just walked around with my sweatshirt around my waist all day so nobody would know.
74) Nobody would play with me in Elementary School because of my coke bottle glasses and spandex pants so I would go to the guidance counselor and pretend that I had friends who were fighting over having me over....sad I know!
75) I don't like to talk on the phone (sorry if I have offended people who send me their phone number...I really like you...I am just self-conscious about phone conversations)
76) I don't know the Title or Artist to any song...very aggravating to my husband
77) My favorite authors are LB Graham and Karen Hancock (Christian fantasy)
78) I used to bite my toe nails
79) Torrey & I went to Michigan for our honeymoon. I finished all my thank you notes during the honeymoon and we left early because we were bored (bonkers I know...I would love to have that time back)
80) My favorite words for darN: Cheese and carrots, or foofinhymer or foofy
81) I also like to refer to the 2 main components of my bottom as heiny cheeks
82) We eat cereal everyday for lunch
83) In an effort to save money we drove our Dodge Neon for over a year with mold in the back seat but finally gave it up after Torrey started to get high off the gas fumes on the way to work
84) My son Noah shares my excitement in making a good graph or chart (proud dorky mama)
85) I am a very competitive board game and card player (my friend Lori and I really get into a seriously competitive Phase 10 game every New Years and Superbowl party)
86) I am still embarrased about the first preschool baseball game I went to for Noah when they played parents vs. kids and I got way too into being the clean up batter and wouldn't let Noah get me out as I ran full speed around the bases...I had to switch baseball site to another park because I couldn't face the other parents
87) I let Torrey take the boys to their sports now for the first few weeks and try to restrain myself on the stands after that.

88) My friend Becky says that I over exaggerate sometimes but I just get very excited very easily
89) I wore a baseball cap on my first date with Torrey (he told me later that's why he decided it was okay to marry me)
90) At our church's skating party I won the adult race when I was 5 months pregnant.
91) CAUTION: GIRL CONTENT: I do not own a normal bra I have worn sports bras since 7th grade.
92) My mom used to make me wear bras to school in 6th grade but I would stop at the Luthern church on the way to school to take it off behind the trash bin divider and put it in my bookbag.
93) In 3rd grade after my mom left for work I convinced my little little sister to help me pack all of my stuffed animals in plastic trash bags (2 huge black bags) and take them to school on the bus to show everyone at Girl Scouts after school.
94) Before Torrey & I had kids we used to have my little sister and 2 cousins spend the night every Saturday and go to church with us on Sunday ...I miss those times with my baby sis (she's going to be 17 in a few weeks)
95) I once claimed that Tivo was life changing (okay I still think it is sometimes...as shallow as it sounds but I can gab longer with friends since don't feel an urgency to get home ASAP after Wednesday night church knowing that I won't miss a minute of Lost
96) I was a member of North East Indiana Poets Society in High School...I was the only person under 50 in the group at that time.
97) When the kids all go to school I plan to return to college for my Masters School Psychology or Doctorate and research cognitive Psychology or Exercise Psychology
98) Noah says I am a mean mommy because I make him pick his toys up in the living room.

Wow! That's an awesome read. I think you could know a good friend your whole life and still not know these kinds of things.
When I got to the "Blender" there was no turning back, my much needed bathroom break would have to wait!

Kimberely - these "100 post" posts are always fun to read! I hide from people I went to school with too! And I'm like Torrey - I know title and artist of EVERY SONG in CCM and Country (and most CCM Christmas music) and it drives my husband BATTY!
