Our agency lets us send a photo album and small gift to Keziah Webitu. We were only guarenteed that the photo ablum would be returned and all other items become community property. We decided to send a simple bluish green receiving blanket that we wrote her name out on "Keziah Webitu Ehrman" with little hearts and crosses. Carter & Noah snuggled it for her. We also chose a little toy phone that says 6 English words and counts to six. We hope that all of the kids could benefit from the toy. We found a great album at Target that is made for toddlers! Here are the photos we sent. We labled each picture in English and then in Amharic characters.
The first picture I can't post yet but we cropped and pasted Keziah into our most recent family picture (top picture on right side of our blog) and labeled it "Our family" The boys loved it and want a copy of it to keep for themselves. I think it really helped them to see how she would fit into our family. Noah realized that Keziah Webitu would be smaller than Landon which made him extra excited because he can give her piggy back rides.
Next was "Daddy" & "Mommy"- We had a very hard time picking photos after reading this hilarious article called "So Fat" (Warning if you are traveling soon it will make you not want to eat for a month)
