Our dossier left BFAS offices for Certifications here in the US on Friday, December 12th. It takes a bit for the certification to get done and to ET (about 3 weeks). However, I emailed our agency this week to see how quickly things could happen and the response was that they would be contacting ET this week to let them know what age of children that those Officially Waiting are looking for to get referrals ready. Also with our age range it is likely we will wait a month at most but likely we will receive a match much sooner. It does take time, however for medical/background paperwork to be complete to be sure that the child is "paper ready" for adoption so it may be a few weeks still.
Just knowing that we are finally "officially waiting" with the new agency is a huge relief!!! It was tough for the 3 1/2 weeks when we were not on anyones official list!!! I am calm and ready to go (today...check me in a few hours because I could be going bonkers with the wait again for sure). I will post info on our referral the second I receive info!!! I promise!!!!
