Noah had a blast at his birthday party at Lazer X! The boys kept saying this is the coolest birthday party ever! They all enjoyed playing lazer tag together and a few video games. I know I had fun leading my sect of our little army to defeat the Blue team.

Warrior fuel time!

I little video game training.

So while the boys were off playing their first game of lazer tag, Wuby and I snook off to get her ears pierced. She first became obsessed with earrings when we visited the mall at 6 weeks home. She saw a little girl get her ears done at Libby Lu and pointed to them and said, "Me, ME". I told her no at the time because she was still in the phase of taking everything off that we had given her and throwing it when she was mad at us. We didn't need ripped ear lobes from an uncontrolled flailing fest. She has continued to be obsessed with earrings and as her language has progressed more it had become quite clear that she wanted those pretties! We talked for a month about it hurting. She kept saying, "I know it hurt me, but I WANT them!" So we finally felt that she knew the consequences and pain involved but still wanted them...so it was time.

Grandma Joanne came along while Grandpa, Brian & Mindy played Lazer Tag. I was so glad because she helped to judge the placing. Wuby picked the most giant diamond studs but the piercing lady thankfully talked her into the tiny "yellow" (gold) studs for her tiny ears. Wuby sat very still on my lap, nervously. At my friend Sheila's instruction, I made sure that the store had 2 people so we could pierce simultaneously. She cried for about a minute but sucked on her suckers and calmed quite quickly.
They were sore for about an hour afterward but that didn't stop her from scarfing down some pizza and brownie cake at big brother's birthday bash!

Hi Kimberly! I don't comment much (have I ever??) but just stopping by. Laser X is fun, even for us big kids! I'm glad Wuby did so well with her ears pierced. I get a kick out of reading about your family and how fun your kids are. We should go out to eat sometime! Ethiopian or American food!
