We have been CRAAAAZZZZZYYYYY busy the last few weeks!!! I feel like a blog slacker but I have had NO time!!! Yikes!!
Here are a few from the big kids (Noah, Destiny & Nathan) last soccer game. IPFW has an awesome program that is absolutely free!! IPFW's boys and girls soccer teams are the "coaches" who teach the kids some basic soccer skills and the program provides all of the kids with a t-shirt, shorts, soccer socks and a ball...oh yeah did I say it was FREEEEEE!! It is 7 weeks long and not ultra competitive...more like fun and free exercise...did I mention it was free! (for you fort waynians you sign up for it at the IPFW kids fest during 3 rivers festival)
I didn't get many GOOD pictures of the kids playing soccer since a fellow PTA mom had a son on Noah & Nate's team and the 3 little ones kept me busy. So here is sassy Wuby.
And Wuby with Landon playing puppy...notice the death grip on her cell phone? She has the thing glued to her ear most nights pretending to talk to daddy or grandpa.
After the game we were treated to an awesome Fall experience as the sun was almost down and a storm was blowing in. The wind blew leave onto the field in large quantities...like snow flakes....the stadium lights gave it a surreal...dream like quality that I couldn't quite capture fully with my camera. Here are Destiny and Nathan prancing through the falling leaves.
Sigh...I love the fall...and crazy kids (this is the only picture where someone wasn't grabbing their private parts...kids)
Wuby's birthday is the Saturday and we decided to make our own pinatas. I always plan to buy one but bulk at the $15-20 price tag. So knowing that I can't make myself pay for one we are taking the time to make one. The girls have LOVED this project! Destiny does quite a good job when she is in charge....I can't wait until Wuby is 9...I love Elementary school age!!! Wuby liked playing in the paste.
Today we celebrated Carter's 5 1/2 (th?) birthday!!! Carter wanted the FULL MEAL DEAL party but we had to down size his expectations to frosted cookies when he had a giant Wii cake floating through his head.

I asked the boys if I could use their Trick or treat candy to put in the pinata (yes, we trick or treat...throw food if you must but make sure it lands in my refrigerator). Noah's reply caught me off guard...he said "that's cheap".....I didn't have a reply then...just well you don't really need that much candy (we usually donate it to the JBQ program at church anyway...without them knowing). So I have spent some time trying to get him to call me "cheap" again now that I am armed with more educative words like "resourceful' and "frugal". He won't take the bate though.

Our interview with Kaitlynn's fund went well!! They said they would contact us within 3 weeks to let us know if we will receive the grant!!! Praying!!!
Our good friend the mouse has passed on. You may remember way back when Torrey accidentally introduced him to our home when he brought an old monitor in from the detached garage, plugged it in, sparks flew, mouse jumped out and ran away. Torrey didn't tell me what happened right away...just devised a ridiculous mouse trap out of paper towel tube, baby gate, peanut butter, and a trash can. So here we are many months later and Torrey kept hearing a rustling sound at night but couldn't find our little friend. So one night frustrated at the noise he set out at midnight on an hour drive to walmart to score a mouse trap. When he got home and opened it he found mouse turds, peanut butter, and rat grease on a broken mouse trap in the box!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, we somehow bought a used mouse trap at walmart! It took me a few days (and an encounter with our little friend scurrying across the bathroom floor one night) to get back to Wallyworld and explain that our trap came with extra prizes and exchanged it for a new one. We set it up and our poor little mouse friend was found the next day in our trap. The funny part was that Torrey looked so sad to see his little friend dead (actual tears in the corners of his eyes). So we are mouse free!!! YEAH!!!!
So there you go...a few highlights! Hopefully I can get back into a regular blogging routine soon!

Now don't let the picture below fool you...Noah never dipped his hand into the pumpkin...he refuses to touch gooey stuff. Torrey & I are always stuck dishing out the yucky stuff.

Torrey I secretly had a great time carving everything up with the kids ran off to watch a little TV, even though we have been known to moan and groan about it a bit.
They all loved
Now with the above average weather the pretty pumpkins slumped into a slimy mess in less than a week. Oh yeah and Carter and Landon
